Investing in Ambition, Rewarding Perseverance

Each year, the Sausalito Woman’s Club Scholarship Recognition Fund awards scholarships to deserving students from Sausalito and Marin City who are ready to take the next step in their education. Our recipients are dreamers and doers—young people who work hard, give back, and strive to make a difference. Through our support, we aim to ease the financial burden of education and celebrate the spirit of determination that defines our community.

The SWCSRF’s outreach program identifies a wide range of applicants through contact with public and private schools, announcements in local press, and publicity throughout the community. Applicants must submit a completed SWCSRF application form by the date that appears on our application page.

Why You Should Apply

Because your goals matter—and your community believes in you.

The Sausalito Woman’s Club Scholarship Recognition Fund was created to lift up local students who are working hard to shape their futures. Whether you’re heading to college for the first time, returning to school after a break, or pursuing a creative or vocational path, this scholarship is here to help you get there.

When you apply, you’re not just asking for financial support—you’re joining a long tradition of students who’ve been seen, celebrated, and encouraged by their community. We want to hear your story, understand your dreams, and stand beside you as you take the next step.

Scholarship Recipients

Scholarships are usually awarded, and recipients honored, in the spring at a festive Scholarship Award Program that takes place on the first Sunday of June! On June 7, 2026. Scholars, families, donors, supporters, and board members gathered at the Sausalito Woman’s Club to celebrate this year’s remarkable scholarship recipients. The afternoon was filled with pride, gratitude, music, flowers, and moving stories of perseverance, promise, and community support.

In our 70th Anniversary, thanks to the generosity of our community, SWCSRF awarded $212,000 in scholarships to 41 scholars and 1 Spaulding Marine Center apprentice. These awards support students pursuing two-year and four-year degrees, graduate and professional programs, trade pathways, and re-entry education.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who made this milestone year possible — our donors, sponsors, in-kind donors, volunteers, board members, Sausalito Woman’s Club members, and friends of the Scholarship Fund. Your generosity, whether through financial support, donated goods or services, volunteer time, event participation, or encouragement, helps students feel seen, supported, and empowered as they take the next steps in their education and lives.
