Who We Are

“Empowering Local Learners, Building Bright Futures”

For the last seven decades the Sausalito Woman’s Club Scholarship Recognition Fund has been quietly fueling the ambitions of students in Sausalito and Marin City—championing higher education and lifting up local talent. Founded by the women of the Sausalito Woman’s Club, our Fund is built on a simple conviction: when we invest in young people, we invest in the future of our community.

In 1956, the women of the Sausalito Woman’s Club established SWCSRF to extend the Club’s civic purpose into educational support for local scholars. Over the decades, the Club’s fundraising, memorial gifts, and community giving have awarded more than 1,000 scholarships and over $1.7 million in support to date.

Our support comes from generous donations and memorial gifts from local individuals, families and organizations; along with annual fundraising events hosted by the Sausalito Woman’s Club. The ongoing commitment of our Board of Directors ensures that every dollar goes to advancing our mission.
