Create a Lasting Legacy. Inspire a Future.

Since 1956, the Sausalito Woman’s Club Scholarship Recognition Fund (SWCSRF) has helped students from Sausalito and Marin City pursue their college and career dreams. Each year, deserving local scholars are recognized and supported through meaningful awards—in 2025 alone, 42 scholarships were granted, including 22 Named Scholarships.

Your gift can be as personal as your connection to this community. You can:

  • Give in honor of someone special

  • Give in memory of a loved one

  • Support a named scholarship with a specific purpose or student profile

  • Establish an endowed scholarship that creates a lasting legacy for generations to come

Together, we can continue the tradition of empowering local students to reach higher and dream bigger.

We love attending the annual SWCSRF Scholarship Award ceremony. We always look forward to sharing the occasion with Ayana Morgan-Woodard’s mother and grandfather—Ayana is the recipient of our named scholarship and is now in her third year at Tuskegee University, studying to become an attorney. We always save them a seat. It’s a special moment we share with joy and pride.

Donor Voices

A smiling woman with short dark hair, wearing gold hoop earrings, a patterned blouse, a pearl necklace, and a blue lanyard, in an indoor setting.

My grandfather rose from poverty to build a modern textile company. My father crossed an ocean to study at MIT. That belief in education led me to create the Lobo Family & Brandon Yates Scholarship. Supporting Malachia Hoover through five years to a Stanford PhD reminds me why I give to SWCSRF—opportunity changes everything.

I have been lucky enough to serve on the board of the SWC Scholarship Recognition Fund for six of the seven years that I’ve been an SWC member.  I am reminded each year, as applications role in and students recount their accomplishments, aspirations, and challenges, of the critical role the SRF continually plays in dozens of young lives – cumulatively, over one thousand students! With the cost of post-secondary education galloping ever upward, Scholarship makes a meaningful difference to our community’s aspiring engineers, scientists, teachers, writers, designers, and more. These remarkable individuals demonstrate such drive, grit, and ability – it’s an absolute joy to contribute to their academic journeys!
